VASCULAR LESION REMOVAL
Trust the GentleYag Pro to remove unwanted facial and body veins and cherry angioma efficiently and effectively all skin types. GYAG Pro uses laser technology to deliver an intense but gentle burst of energy onto targeted areas of the skin, delivering a controlled amount of therapeutic heat to the targeted area safely and effectively. Multiple lasers have demonstrated efficacy to varying degrees in treating leg veins. The advantages of using lasers to remove unwanted telangiectasias include the speed and noninvasive nature of treatment, as well as the size and depth of vessels that can be treated with laser therapy versus sclerotherapy.
Some patients may feel slight discomfort with each laser pulse, sometimes described like the snapping of a rubber bank on the skin. The discomfort resolves quickly and is minimized by the patented Dynamic Cooling or air cooling. The number of sessions depends on the treatment you require and the condition of your skin. Many patients see progress after only one treatment.
The Evolution 7HD sequential is a professional electrolysis device that gives you full control of your treatments. Whether it’s with the manual or pre-programmed mode, this highly efficient device ensures a comfortable treatment. The power of a 6.78mhz frequency with the comfort of a mechanism based on the exclusive concept of vector modulations offers wellbeing and high precision. These modulations, which are the fastest on the market at 2/1000 of a second, optimize energy transfer thanks to greater wavelength accuracy and stability.
The Evolution 7HD combines maximum effectiveness with ultimate comfort. The decision to go back to a low frequency while adding sequential modulations was made to ensure optimum efficiency and to prevent clients from feeling the discomfort they may have experienced with past treatments. These modulations, which are the fastest on the market at 2/1000 of a second, optimize energy transfer thanks to greater wavelength accuracy and stability. We can, therefore, get as close as we possibly can to the pain threshold, without ever reaching it, while maximizing the energy that is being delivered.

FAQ
Who should receive Thermo-coagulation?
People with fine spider veins, telangiectasia, small angiomas, skin tags, milia, and pigmentation changes are the best candidates. This treatment works instantly on spider veins on the face and in most cases immediately disappears. You can anticipate some redness to the area as well as white crusting on the surface which usually disappears after 1-3 days. It is not designed to treat large spider veins or varicose veins under the skin or body. You are not a good candidate if you have a pacemaker or similar cardiac (heart) device; have a history or present diagnosis of epilepsy ( seizures); are pregnant; have an allergy to metals, especially nickel.
What should I do before the treatment?
We recommend coming into the clinic with a clean makeup free face. Limit the amount of sun exposure to the skin before coming in for treatment. Avoid using any topical prescriptions for 3-5 days (check with the clinic before stopping medications) especially those with retinols. No use of Accutane for a minimum of 6 months. Disclose any medical history/issues to your aesthetician before starting the procedure. SPF 30+ is recommended leading up to the treatment.
What can I expect after the treatment?
Results are seen immediately, with continuous improvements over several weeks. Micro-abrasions, swelling, and redness will be noticed immediately after the treatment. The skin will be sensitive for several days, and chemicals or skincare with active ingredients should be avoided on the treated area. The use of polysporin cream can relieve any discomfort and is recommended for 1-3 days following the treatment. It is very important to remember not to scratch, rub or pick at the treated area, as this can prematurely pull the scabs off causing trauma which leads to slower healing times and potential pigment issues. Although treated veins generally do not return, new veins may develop over time. “touch-ups” are always recommended. It is also advised to avoid heat and exercise to the area (especially when treating veins) such as hot showers, saunas and steam rooms for at least 72 hours. SPF 30+ is essential pre and post procedure.
What are the risks and side effects?
As with any medical treatment, there are certain risks and side effects associated with thermocoagulation. You can expect bruising, redness, swelling, and sensitivity in the area that was treated. With some treatments (milia, age spots, skin tags, angiomas) there will be scabbing and redness. This is normal and part of the healing process and usually subsides within a few days. Treatment for veins usually does not show any scabbing and disperses instantly.
How is Thermo-coagulation different from IPL ( intense pulsed light) and sclerotherapy?
Unlike IPL or laser therapy, thermocoagulation is not skin type dependent, and it is inherently safer than those therapies. Thermocoagulation targets the specific vein, versus a generalized area, in contrast to IPL. Sclerotherapy are injections ideal for large veins underneath the skin such as varicose veins. It can treat most spider veins but requires multiple treatment sessions with more aggressive downtime.
